Top 5 Sporting Venues

After watching the Kentucky at Kansas game tonight, I wanted to put together a top 5 list of my favorite sporting venues that I have personally been to.  I would love for you to comment below and give me your top 5 as well!

5.  Wrigley Field - Home of the Chicago Cubs

The Cubs are by far my least favorite MLB team, but it's hard to argue against the history and feel of Wrigley Field.  There really isn't anything amazing or special about it other than its unique characteristics.

4. Cameron Indoor Stadium - Home of the Duke Blue Devils

I've never actually been to a game in Cameron, so if someone wants to give me tickets to a game that may bump this up the list a couple spots.  However, I really enjoyed being in this building for Duke basketball camps.

3. Old Yankee Stadium - Former home of the New York Yankees

I was able to attend a game at Old Yankee Stadium when the Yankees played the Braves in 2005.  Seeing the monuments and history of one of the most storied baseball clubs was incredible!

2. Lambeau Field - Home of the Green Bay Packers

Growing up in Wisconsin, I was lucky enough to attend several games in this amazing venue.  I still remember the first game I ever went to in 1998 when the Packers hosted the Tennessee Oilers in a blizzard.  It was very hard for me not to …

1. Allen Fieldhouse - Home of the Kansas Jayhawks

There is no place like home.  It's almost impossible for me to think or talk about this place without getting goosebumps.  In 2008, I spent several mornings and afternoons in this building when it was completely empty.  I read my Bibl…

There is no place like home.  It's almost impossible for me to think or talk about this place without getting goosebumps.  In 2008, I spent several mornings and afternoons in this building when it was completely empty.  I read my Bible and re-lived numerous historical plays that have taken place on that court.  On gamedays, there is nothing like it.

Honorable Mentions:

Hinkle Fieldhouse - Home of the Butler Bulldogs

The United Center - Home of the Chicago Bulls

Williams Arena (The Barn) - Home of the Minnesota Golden Gophers

Camp Randall - Home of the Wisconsin Badgers

My "Wish List" of places I've never been but would like to go...

Fenway Park

Augusta National

St. Andrews
